BATTERY CASE

Magnet orientation convention

I intend to use magnets, Jaycar: LM 1622, to secure the battery case to the UNO. It is important to install the magnets consistently. Not entirely arbitrarily, I have adopted the convention describer below:

1:
Use a compass to identify the north seeking pole of each magnet.

1a:
On the side of the magnet that attracts the north seeking needle of the compass, place a white dot.

2:
In the battery case, install each magnet in its recess with the white dot facing the electronics.

3:
In the UNO case, install each magnet in its recess with the white dot not facing the electronics.

The magnets should hold the battery case and the UNO securely.
